SUNDAY BEST’ FINAL TWO CHOSEN:
By Mona Austin / mediamindedpro@yahoo.com

With “one voice, one organ, and one last chance,” Y’Anna Crawley and Jessica Reedy became the top two remaining contestants on BET’s “Sunday Best” after silencing Latice Crawford in a sing off Sunday night.

Back to back, each singer sang “Jesus Loves Me” for a minute and thirty five seconds, immediately followed by the results. Then the judges decided to send New Yorker Latice Crawford home.

The premier Gospel event that recognizes and honors Gospel artists, will be seen Sunday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on the Gospel Music Channel television network beginning this Sunday, April 5. Sunday Best Set to Return — BET is set to launch its second season of the wildly popular television show Sunday Best. The nationwide talent search gives singers from across the country the opportunity to showcase their gift on a national stage and compete for the title of “Sunday Best”. Talent searches began in January in Atlanta, Chicago, and Washington DC in addition to an online casting call to discover talent for this year’s season. The premiere of BET Sunday Best airs Sunday March 8 at 9pm ET. Kirk Franklin will return to host the show as BeBe Winans and Mary Mary will resume their roles as celebrity judges. This season, the Sunday Best home moves to Atlanta’s Turner Studios. This year’s grand prize winner will walk away with a 2009 Lincoln MKS as part of their grand prize winnings.
